Foundation Awareness Training

Domestic Abuse Awareness training (foundation level) is available to professionals across all agencies in Bedfordshire. The Training is delivered by a pool of trainers from statutory and voluntary agencies across the County which provides a diverse base of knowledge and experience for attendants.

The training course covers the following from a holistic perspective - this course is very much about understanding domestic abuse:
- definition of domestic abuse
- indicators of domestic abuse
- what is domestic abuse?
- facts & figures
- why women do not leave
- Stockholm Syndrome
- 5 stages of domestic abuse
- impact of domestic abuse on victims and children
- safety planning & options
- what is available in Bedfordshire

18th November 2010

16th December 2010

The course will cost £50 for Statutory organisations and £40 for staff from a voluntary organisations.
This price includes refreshments throughout the day, buffet lunch & a delegate pack for each attendee.
